Omnifitness is the concept that you should not overspecialize while training. Every time I see injuries or imbalances, it is because we don’t differentiate our training enough. If you do bench press with the barbell a lot, try using some dumbbells. Change your rep range occasionally. Do different forms of cardio or try a new cable machine. Try plyometrics for your leg day instead of squats. Incorporate a stretch routine after your workout. Do your isolates before your compounds now and then. There are many ways to spice up your routine, and trying new techniques and exercises to stay balanced and healthy is very important.
